Be a Volunteer

StaffVoluteers.jpg Volunteer Through Your Church:
Many churches throughout Orange County provide breakfast or lunch one day per month every day of the year. Ask your pastor whether your church participates. If not, contact the Center to see if monthly serving dates are available.

Volunteer Through Your High School:
Many schools throughout Orange County offer students a chance to get involved in charity work. Ask your school counselor whether your school participates. If not, contact the Center to see if monthly serving dates are available.

Through Your Community Organization:Swcc0010005.jpg
Many community organizations such as Sertoma and Boy Scouts of America have contributed their time and skills to SWCC to accomplish specific projects to meet specific needs. Call our Director to find out how you and your organization can help.

Holiday Help & Special Events:
The holidays are times when we are most aware of the plight of the less fortunate. Many people and organizations want to contribute their time and efforts at Christmas and Thanksgiving. At such times we may not be able to accommodate all those who want to help, so please call ahead of time to see what our volunteer needs are. Or, you can volunteer throughout the year.

Volunteering Throughout The Year:Swcc0010005.jpg
Our needs for volunteers are great all of the time. Hunger and hopelessness strike 365 days per year. Whatever your gifts, your talents and your availability, we can use you all of the time. Please call our Director to find out how you can help.

 HONOR CARDS

Use Honor Cards to make a donation in honor or memory of a loved one. We will send your designated “giftee” a professionally printed honor card stating that a monetary gift was made by you in their honor or memory. The card also explains that the donation will be used to improve the life of someone less fortunate and to help a fellow human find comfort and hope in your name. This is a perfect gift for someone who already has everything. Use a SWCC Honor Card to express your sympathy when a loved one passes away. Simply make a donation to SWCC and request that an honor card be sent out to the person you are honoring.
